Pandemic Covid-19 Help & Support
SAFE India Foundation is reaching out to the elders, homeless and migrant workers who are facing their toughest time right now. In our first phase of work before the lockdown even started, was Awareness about Covid 19, both in urban & rural areas.
Our teams, with the help of volunteers are addressed needs during the lockdown, such as foods, groceries, medicines etc, and delivered to their doorsteps across the Sonipat, Haryana District.
Social Connectivity :-
During the lockdown we are urged the population spend time with their family members grandparents or elderly parents at home, and make them digitally literate, it will also help relieve loneliness and mental stress they might be going through. So much can be done behind locked doors in a positive way. The aim is to Show them that You Care.
Direct Connection:-
Our teams on ground worked hard during the lockdown, reaching out to the disadvantaged people, the homeless, migrant workers and poor living urban slums & villages, providing them with the following:
Free foods – to the homeless in night shelters, on roads, elders in old age homes, in urban slums and migrant daily wage labourers who have nowhere and no one to turn to. Mostly people or earning members in their family, had lost their livelihood, during this period and not had enough food to survive. More than 5,00,000 of these meals had been distributed.
Family food Kits – which include basic ration like Rice, Wheat, Spices, cooking oil etc. along with Corona protective gear like masks, bathing and washing soaps.
Free Medicines and Healthcare – During lockdown, free medical requirement to poor and needy person and Pregnant lady provided.
Free Footwear :- More than 10000 pairs of footwear were provided to migrant labor who were going to their parent States by foots.
Free Ayurvedic Medicine:- More than 50000 packets have been distributed.

A lot is happening for needy and poor and the need is immense. Despite this, there is so much is being done, lot more is required.
